Secrets of a Warrior: A Poem of Xena

A face so pure upon first sight
But a glance at her past can
bring such fright.
Her tortured soul she tries
to conceal
But no one can know what she
really feels.
Her heart is hard, but warm
as well
She always smiles, though
shes been through hell.
Her son is dead, her family
so torn.
Her neverending struggle is
no less than scorned.
The good she has done, can
not compare
To her frightening past, that
is full of despair.
Although she now has a golden
heart,
Someday her soul will tear
her apart.
